Why Game Analysis?
With today’s videoing capabilities and the surging number of soccer organizations recording and providing access to film, there is an opportunity for players to understand gameplay like never before. While top coaches have always broken down gamefilm to gain the upper hand, even those who can coordinate team film sessions find it difficult to do so regularly and must prioritize bigger-picture concepts. Given a general lack of tactical feedback at the personal level, we often see a disconnect between an individual’s ability and their actual performance.
Numerous highly skilled and athletic players have struggled to fulfill their potential as that promising talent did not translate into consistent execution and a final product. Technical proficiency and athleticism must be matched with the proper knowledge of how the individual fits into the collective and team scheme in order to fully take advantage of those great qualities. When you add soccer’s countless styles of play and kids’ exposure to different coaches on a regular basis, understanding expectations and how to behave in unfamiliar situations can be especially overwhelming.

Our individual game analysis will provide strategic insights to help you learn about the game as a whole and make sense of all of its interconnected parts. We will work with each player to ensure our feedback aligns with their individual and team needs. Feedback will always build off of previous analyses to gauge progress within targeted areas as well as constantly evaluate for new developmental opportunities.
Rather than joysticking every move, our goal is to empower students with the understanding of various game scenarios, the awareness of all available options at hand (or rather, at feet), and the intelligence to create different solutions. Through this philosophy, we strive to develop autonomous thinkers who can make quicker and better choices to proactively attack the ever-changing challenges they will face. Whether it be technical errors, decision-making issues, or problems with positioning, our analysis will highlight your areas for improvement, and reinforce your good habits along the way.
Tactical Analysis Demo
This goal breakdown is just one example of the various individual, group, and team elements that our analyses will address. Please note that the majority of players from the attacking team in this video have committed extensive time to doing private training and film analysis with our methodologies, and showcase high levels of technical proficiency and tactical applications.
This service requires raw game footage; if you do not have access to game film from your team/club, consider investing in a consumer-grade sports camera, such as BallerCam. The camera/recording should provide a panoramic view that follows the action but also shows the majority of other players and space off the ball. Hand-held recording will not be suitable for this. If you are unable to get film during certain seasons, we can review games that you have access to from the prior season/session. For those without footage still wanting to do game analysis, we can analyze professional players and games, or come watch and evaluate your performance in-person.
